Since its inception in 1982, BNC Packaging Ltd has grown from a humble netting manufacturer into one of Malawi's most trusted and innovative packaging companies. Founded by Mr. David Whitehead, the company began its journey producing high-quality fish nets, laying the foundation for a strong manufacturing legacy.
In 1985, BNC became the first company in Malawi to manufacture Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers (FIBCs), pioneering bulk packaging solutions in the region. Just two years later, the company welcomed a royal visitor, Prince Charles, and expanded its capacity with the installation of four new looms to meet increasing demand.
BNC specializes in high-quality printed food packaging for the FMCG sector, alongside the production of robust woven and plastic packaging for critical agricultural commodities such as fertilizer, sugar, maize flour, and wheat bran.
